i just totally lost my cool

Miyo just tried to change her own diaper. UGH! It was all over her hands and then she went to wipe her hair out of her face! I screamed at Miles to get me the baby wipes, "NOW!" I got her cleaned up and the moment of panic is gone. Why do I act like some things are the end of the world? She had a bath, we put the baby wipes and diaper in the garage garbage can. It's quiet and all fixed. So why did I react so crazily? Poor Miles. I'm sure he was panicing as well, and flustered and trying to help while I yell. I have to go apologize.

Every sane person on the planet would have lost their cool, so don't worry.

germophobia! that's what i would have done. (keepin it contained) and look at the bright side, she knows when she goes. just a step toward no more diapers! as far as miles goes, well, you're teaching him the importance of apologizing, uh, saying your sorry. at least thats what i tell myself sometimes. lol- Nik

Is this the after picture of Miles, shaken and scared. Kim must relate to this what did I do, why am I in trouble. The older child gets the brunt.

Sarah, if you are out there. Sometimes I am able to comment on your blogs and others I am not. The word verification sits on "loading". So if you see this here is my comment for the Funny Tooth pictures " Don't tell Kira but its not far from the potty mouth photo of her " I've said my funny and I can now relax that it is posted. Even if not on your sight.

this is not the after photo. i just thought it was really sweet, and went well with the story. this photo is actually from months ago.

I don't think you overreacted. And I only say this because I've done the exact same thing. Kira was getting ready for a bath one evening when she was three, and after she was naked, she climbed up on Sam's bunk bed and pooped on his pillow. I went into total drill sergeant mode, barking orders at everyone until the poop was cleaned up. Natural reaction to poop on the loose I think.

GIRL!! You had every right to lose your cool! Every mama does every now and again...and this is a good time to freak! Zealand did the same thing to me the other day.. he came towards me with a handful of it, I shrieked like a teenager!

Same thing though after it all goes down, you say man I can handle anything!! So give urself a BIG PAT ON THE BACK because you can now check off "poopy mommy hands" off the list...now you can tackle "moldy sippy cup left under the bed that your child takes a sip out of crisis"..yuk!
